Couple of questions on the way this years Men’s nationals allocations decision was brought about and how it will work with members joining, leaving or changing clubs etc. and how they are expected to deal with the situation some clubs may find that two years ago they maybe didn’t get any allocation but now have members wanting and willing to represent them at the national championships. Do they recommend their members stay and accept no nationals or is there some other recommendation the NASA board can suggest?
1) Was the decision to offer places to leagues on 2019 allocations based on member (league reps or club chairs?) feedback or voting or was it something the directors decided themselves at some point?
2) Where a league didn’t get an allocation in 2019 for whatever reason, what are the logistics for them getting places, either their minimum 1 place per league, a reallocation based on current membership or how the reserve system might be relevant and how any unallocated places might be redistributed.
Obviously it’s strange and unusual times and you'll never keep everyone happy but it would be useful to understand the decision making process and if there’s some flexibility for clubs/leagues/members who might be in a predicament as a result of basing the allocation on two year old membership data.
Cheers, Rich.
